How do I get an invite?
RypTyde is invite-only. Ask someone who already uses it to request an invite for you from inside the app. A RypTyde moderator reviews the request and sends you an invite code for your username.
I forgot my PIN
- On the login screen, tap Forgot your PIN?
- Enter your username and answer your security question.
- Add a phone number or email so the reset code can reach you, and send the request.
- Once an administrator approves it, you’ll receive a reset code. Enter it with a new PIN.
Because your messages are encrypted on your phone, a PIN reset restores access to your account on a device that still has your encryption key. It can’t recover messages on a device that doesn’t.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, open Settings and tap Delete my account, then enter your PIN to confirm. Deletion is immediate and permanent. If you can’t get into the app, email us and we’ll delete it for you. The privacy policy explains exactly what is erased.
How do I report someone or stop them contacting me?
You can report any message or member from inside the app, and block anyone so they can no longer contact you. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours, and content that breaks our Terms of Use is removed and the account responsible suspended or banned.
Can RypTyde read my messages?
No. Messages, photos and videos are end-to-end encrypted, so we only ever hold data we can’t open. The privacy policy covers what we do store.
