RypTyde encrypts every message on your phone before it leaves. We can’t read your conversations, and neither can anyone who gets into our servers.

End-to-end encrypted
Messages, photos and videos are encrypted on your device. Our servers only ever hold data they can’t open.
Invite-only
Every account is invited by name. There’s no public sign-up, and no strangers searching for you.
No phone number, no email
You join with a username and a PIN. That’s everything we ask for to create your account.
No ads, no tracking
No advertising, no analytics, no trackers. The app doesn’t contain any of them.
Chats, groups and rooms
One-to-one chats, groups, and rooms of up to 100 people — plus The Commons, a room anyone can join.
You stay in control
Block, mute or report anyone. See when someone screenshots a chat. Delete your account from Settings at any time.
How your messages stay private
No setting to turn on. It works the same way for every message.

Your phone makes your keys
When you join, your iPhone generates a key pair. The private key is kept in your iPhone’s Keychain; only the public key is shared.

Every message gets its own key
Each message is locked with a fresh random key, and that key is locked separately for every person in the conversation.

We store it. We can’t open it.
Our servers keep only the encrypted result and deliver it. There’s no key on our side that unlocks your messages.
